Highly recommend this book to any woman who is striving to honor the Lord by living out the purposes He has ordained for her! This book reminds women of the influence they can have with the unique gift set God has given them. It's a must read!
Michelle has a gift for explaining Scripture in a way that is easy to understand. She gives tangible examples and helps readers practice and apply what they've learned about each verse through journaling and practical recommendations. This book is a blessing for married women and single women, moms of little ones and empty nesters, stay-at-home moms and business owners.
I am one of those women who totally hated the Proverbs 31 woman. Unattainable standard is all I could see... Until I read through this devotional! I bought it because I admire the author, not because I was excited about the topic and I'm so glad I did! It's encouraging, convicting, and challenging! Seeing the Scripture properly through Michelle's teaching opened my eyes to the character description of a godly woman, not a long list of requirements. Buy the book! You won't regret it!
Famous in Heaven & At Home will be a staple in my morning - for years to come. It is not a book to grab and read in a couple hours...or even 31 days. It is a book to read, re-read, ponder on the wisdom that God shares through Michelle, pray & journal about your own life, then put the wisdom to work by making small (often daily, minute-by-minute) life/heart changes towards being a more thoughtful, Godly, 'Proverbs 31' woman. Michelle's layout is easy to read and understand. I love that she has a goal for each chapter, quotes scripture, gives examples and explanation to go along with it (which is totally relatable, funny & truth-packed), prays in each chapter, and then has an action item "#P31Practice" for you to apply it to your life - today! Because this book is based off of God's word, the more times you read it, the better it gets - God has given me completely different ideas each time I read through specific chapters and do the #P31Practice. I just started this book a couple days ago, and I already have a renewed outlook on the Proverbs 31 Woman!! This is a great book to use alongside your daily time in the Bible or as a Bible study with women from your church. I have highlighted and journaled more in a few days than I do with most books!!!
Michelle Myers will challenge you in this book to put your family first as you study the Proverbs 31 woman's character qualities. I have been convicted to pray more to God for help daily in the way that I care for my family and how I operate my business. I love how she explains and encourages women to focus on the character of this woman rather than looking at Proverbs 31 as a job description - we can't stay up late and get up early every day - that is a recipe for a grumpy wife and mama!
This book shows the Proverbs 31 woman as someone I can be. Each chapter provides attitudes vital to my character and actions necessary for living my purpose, influencing others, and glorifying God. This book renewed my confidence and fired up my passion for being intentional in every area of my life.
