Good basic information to get the novice off to a start. General ideas on what to put in a basket, ideas on where to buy things, etc. Written in a simple straight forward manner that keeps newbies organized and gives them confidence.Not anything new for those that have already muddled through the process on their own.There were no "insider secrets" on what to do to make your basket look professional...nothing about wrapping, making bows, and little on personal or clever decorations.I think that this is more of a teaser to get to the author's website, which presumably has much more depth, that might be of greater interest to more experienced diy gift basket makers.

For craft-phobes like me, the thought of making a gift basket is right up there with creating frescoes for the Sistine Chapel...but then I wanted to start giving gifts which were personalized and made up of little gifts. Wrapping little gifts of different shapes and sizes proved a pain, so I liked the idea of a gift basket. A friend of mine came across Denise Riley's book and recommended I read it. I'm so glad I did! It is, as the name suggest 'simple' - and I mean this in a positive sense. It is clear, well set out but with enough detail and ideas to make it a little gem. I often thought 'why didn't I think of that?' and that is what I want from such a guide. Denise Riley writes with enthusiasm and warmth and it is infectious! I then made a gift basket for my friend who recently had a baby. I was so proud of my effort and it made me feel great about myself and inspired to create more baskets. I can't wait to see Denise Riley's videos. I would have happily paid for this book - it would also make a great gift for friends.
For someone who's not very creative in this area, I found the book to be so helpful and now I'm learning to make gift baskets the same way Denise does. Very helpful instructions and many great ideas.
Wish there was more step by step pics for my sweetypax because she would love to be able to make a basket. I keep telling her you can make a basket out of anything... Enjoy and have fun.....
This book has some cute ideas for gift baskets, but I found it difficult to read because of the numerous spelling and grammar mistakes. These mistakes could be easily fixed.
I learned a lot from the Ebook and Denise is a sweetheart. If you want to know how to make a really nice, thoughtful gift basket on a budget then get this book right away!
