This is a beautifully presented book, not only with amazing photos but put together in a sensible sequential format. starting with a bit of history with photos, moving on to materials, tools and how to dye, various way to weave, covering bases, rims, handles. Then there are the project which are very well explained and finally a gallery of artist with some of their beautiful work. With this book you won't need another, if you want to learn to weave, and with the inspiration that is provided from the photo, you will be making baskets to your hearts contentThis book was provided to me in return for an honest and unbiased review
As a fairly new basket weaver, I found this book to be a wonderful resource with great explanations of many weaving techniques from the basics to more complicated and with beautiful pictures to illustrate instructions. Wonderful patterns are also included.
A beautiful collection of gorgeous baskets. Very informative. Wonderful directions. I have made baskets and done many of the techniques covered, this is quite helpful in refreshing my mind. There are some nice recipes. I was provided an ebook by NetGalley. This would make a nice reference book in my library.
