This contains all those things you wish you could do - and many others that you might have never thought of.Its so reassuring and comforting to think that you have such abilities. Credit goes to how this book was arranged. The flow and instances. This is a guide book you don't want to misplace 'cause its both a lifeline and a life saver. have your home dotted with your handiworks. There's a peculier joy in achieving what you once believed can only be done by others (or professional). This is what i found by following this simple book.It in effect cuts your cost of living. A lot of what we engage others to do for us can so easily be done by ourselves.Its amazing how i quietly turned a handyman overnight. I guess we all have our little secrets! Mine is just right here.
There is a lot of useful advice in this book. However, I found it to be repetitive in that a separate entry would be used for a nearly identical "hack", with only a tiny detail changed. Some of the hacks were hard to understand, and a photo or illustration would have been helpful. There's also some editing errors that weren't caught. Otherwise, it's a decent DIY book, but as an avid DIY-er, I didn't find much new info. I wouldn't recommend it for seasoned DIY-ers like myself, but for newbies to the world, then this book would be a good starting point.
I have been trying to make my home less cluttered and more stress-free this year and this is something that I've decided I need help with. I love how author Jamie Stewart's latest book is organized to help with such things as budgeting, pets, parenting, and even gift-giving. I have selected just one topic per week from this book to tackle so far and the results have been amazing. Just concentrating on one room in the home or one small area is much less overwhelming and many of these wonderful ideas I had not heard of anyplace else. I'll definitely be referring back to this book for a long time to come.
I have to say when I first started to read this book I thought it was going to be the same old hacks that you see on tv all the time. I was pleasently surprised that there were a lot of the ones that I would have never thought of or seen in the past. I have to say that I can not think of just one the I would say would be my new faveriorte or that I am going to do first. I have highlighted a lot of them that I will be doing in the near future. One that really is setting in my head is for the entryway and the keys. This is something that I am going to do now because we are always looking for the keys that we can not find. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to make their house more orginazed.
I have always been one for hacks because you will never know when it may come in handy. 365 Days of DIY Hacks is great. There were many interesting tips that I hadn’t thought of before. I like that the book is organized by room, this way I don’t have to flip through the whole book if I’m looking for something. It covers a wide range of topics, from tips that I can use with the kids to cleaning and inexpensive gifts for others. They are simple and useful, which is a must in my household.There is so much information packed into this book, I just love it. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Hack your whole darn life! This book is everything. With tips and tricks to make every room in your home the best and most useful it can be. The 'hacks' are easy ways to help you organize and get rid of clutter. The book is easy to read and at times funny. I loved the ideas for gifts including gifting homemade spice blends for Christmas. Also, if you have children or other little critters, this book has some helpful advice on how to keep clean and be efficient. This book is a treasure trove of things I wish my parents would have taught me. There is no nonsense, just great, clever tricks to make your life easier. You need this book!
I like to book and the ideas it presented such as taking drawers and transforming it into display cases for jewelry scarves and other accessories. One suggestion to add to the book is to put illustrations. I am all for the projects but I am not sure what the product is supposed to look like. Even a picture of the materials would help. I received this book for free for my honest review
Wow! I love it, such a resourceful guide won’t leave my side. It is jam packed with simple, practical and smart ideas to optimize the household. At times the author blew me away with the clever reuse of stuff laying around the yard and at other times a simple homemade technique is just perfect. All in all, this is a great book worth having!
