I haven't had a real chance to use this book very much, but the recipes are well written, and the few I've made came out quite well.
There is not a single picture or illustration in this book. If you aren't familiar with types of dumpling wrappers or dough, there is very little here to help you get started.The recipes have very different yields -- some make 16 dumplings, and some make 60. With no portion information, it's really difficult to understand how much food a recipe makes and how many people it could feed -- you have to guess it from the sizes of ingredients. Some of the recipes also use strange measurements that could vary greatly (like a "quart of shrimp").Some of the recipes sound really tasty, and there are for sure some creative ideas.
Not something I would purchase in print or for more than 99 cents because ingredients aren't very clear on measurements sometimes. Like "a pack of. . .). what size pack?
I am still a beginner dumpling maker and this book has been of great help
Great Book love it would recommend to anyone.
Dumplings are some really great food easy to cook and fun to make.
