This book has excellant patterns but no colored pics, makes it hard to visualize what you are creating, or like in most cases would like to change. The amount and quality of patterns is wonderful though and out weights the lack of pictures.

A friend taught me how to make a hat band on a loom. I wanted to do more because I fell in love with loom beading. This book has wonderful projects and has tons of patterns. The only thing I don't like about this book is there are no color pictures. I have solved that problem for myself. I have a program that I can design cross stitch patters (which is really good for loom work). I started using this and with the colors this book recommends, I can now see what these patterns look like in color. I found another way, if you don't have/want this program, is to use colored pencils (you can get close to the colors the book suggests) to see what these patterns look like. Other than not having colored pictures, this book is a must have. There are tons of patterns, all is different sizes and easy to read. All these patterns are designed so that you can either use a loom or you can use them as embroidery or applique.

This book is loaded with patterns that are easy to follow. All designs represent a variety of American Indian nations as well as floral designs. They range in sizes. Patterns for both bead weaving/loom and applique. Very good source for ideas to use on regalia items or everyday wear.

My husband and I love to go to Native American gatherings and were especially taken with the beadwork. I decided to try loomwork and was thrilled with what little I could produce but of course I wanted to do more. I found this book and I want you to know it won't disappoint you. The designs are easy to follow and whether you use the colors they suggest or use your own imagination, you will be amazed. They start off with simple projects and work you up to the larger more intricate ones. I can now easily do a project that is 32 beads wide. If you like to make things, show off your handy work, whatever your reason I encourage you to try this book. You will be amazed at how quickly you learn how to do this.

I would like to say first that I was amazed at the shape of the book since it was "used". It was immaculate and looked like new. I will certainly use this provider again. The book itself has excellent photos and instruction charts with extensive instructions. I particularly enjoyed the identification of the particular tribes the designs came from. My husband and I have a handmade jewelry business and I specialize in Indian and Celtic designs along with some particular Victorian designs and it is always a special find to see designs with the tribal information. I feel it is important to give my customers information regarding the designs they find most appealing. This book is full of ideas and creation helps that lead to a quality piece of work. I certainly will make the most use of it possible!

This book contains the patterns for many of the tribes as well as color schemes taken from the original work in museums. It has a special area in the rear of the book for the applique patterns. This book is not for beginners.

Fast secure shipping. I'm using this for beading ideas for clothing for the American Girl Kaya. My only complaint was none of the pictures, except on the front and back cover, were in color. Great reference book.

There are instructions on making your own looms and advice on what to look for if you choose to purchase a loom.Lots of clear and concise instructions on weaving the patterns or sewing the pattern directly on the article to be enhanced. Ideas on what to with your finished product. This is not for beginners.
