I picked this book up to find some ideas for teaching my early childhood education pre-service teachers to use technology in the classroom. This is the most comprehensive and practical of all the books I have read in this area. Bev explains everything step-by-step in plain English, shows examples, offers web references with more examples, and tells exactly what you need to get started. Every chapter even has a glossary at the beginning to ensure that any "techie" words she uses are defined. If you only had one book for technology in the classroomShe goes into how to use podcasts, Wikis, digital story telling, and more and explains how it could be used with different K-12 grades. I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you feeling hesitant about using technology in the classroom because it seems so complicated. I promise you that you will go from being scared to being unafraid and even enthusiastic about educational technology.
