Prospective buyers should note that this book is for needle lace, not bobbin lace. The language is a little stiff, but this is a very good book for tape lace users, like those who make Battenberg lace, and has lots of different stitches and methods for joining designs.

This Kindle edition has pictures and they show up fine on my basic b&w Kindle. There are directions and pictures for 81 needle lace stitches. The Modern Lace is Battenberg lace which was modern at the time of printing. Some typos and some miscellaneous lace pictures added at the end. I think you can learn to make the lace from this book.

There are none or very little images. If you are learning it is of NO help. Find a book that has as may images as possible
