I love the way that some of the techniques are explained. Some of the images show how to create believable lace and I had assumed it was more difficult than what she demonstrates. The cakes shown are tasteful and of general appeal. For me, the book is mostly non-applicable because I mostly make children's cakes or cakes for casual showers for my family (which, luckily is BIG so I get many opportunities).Still, I'm delighted to have it as part of my library and a pleasure to look at over and over.
This is a short sample ebook of a single cake design, recipe, instructions, and a couple of options. Another book is shown at the end that offers many cake designs. The pictures were clear and instructions easy to follow. I got it for free and think that it delivered for that price.
The photos that accompany the vintage cake design are not only beautifully crafted but a help to completing the cake, cookie and cupcake patterns. This short book will inspire you to make your own wedding cake or other treats using the lace design provided.
This book shows how to create the lace used on this cake. The picture on the front does not do it justice. If a wedding cake is not something you make everyday, there are also instructions for how to use the technique on cookies and cupcakes.
The book is free, so can't grumble, but it contains only one project and it has a lot of text and not so many pictures.
Cute as it may be it shows you nothing to help, I see why it was free. Will take out of my collection.
This book details the life story of one woman who wishes to apply the same lace design in similar ways on one cake, cupcakes, and cookies. Would have earned a 10/10 for technique, as clearly illustrated, but the use of fondant in the color "baby pink" knocked it down to a solid 8/10. Left me very motivated to use royal icing in unique ways.
This book shows you how to make lace design on the cake. It gives many helpful hints and tricks. Will definitely use it in the future.
