This book caters to people who already have a basic understanding of GIS and computer software functions. If you do not already have this knowledge then you will likely struggle with understanding the text. There are multiple topics discussed that are not defined and I found it easier to turn to the internet for help with my GIS work than I did this textbook.

Book was in excellent condition. Did not have any markings, despite being used. A difficult read on an important subject; authors could have used simpler and more straightforward writing. Contains very up-to-date GI descriptions and illustrations.

Great textbook, but my Professor chose to use the older version so this one sat on my bookshelf. Hopefully I will use it in an upcoming semester.

This book is not very good at explaining GIS.
