My husband and I lead a small group bible study for our church. During our women-only prayer times, I felt like the women were sharing vague prayer requests but not the actual issue that they were dealing with. I suspected that some of their real concerns were about their sexual relationship with their husbands... but it's obviously super hard for them to actually ask for help in this area, and equally as hard for me to advise my friends in this area when I'm not a counselor and haven't been through what they have been through. So when my mom told me how awesome this study was, I immediately bought the DVD set and 5 workbooks and started recruiting my women friends from church. I'm almost done facilitating this study for the first time with two women, and am getting ready to facilitate it again for five other women this summer.I have all great things to say about Passion Pursuit. Here are my top five reasons to get this study ASAP and facilitate it for women that you care about:1) It sends people to the Bible for answers. With five approachable and easy to follow "homeworks" between each session, the authors encourage women to look up scripture and apply the principles of scripture for themselves as a daily habit.2) The DVD sessions are candid and honest, yet always respectful. There are clear discussion guidelines outlined at the beginning of the study so that everyone feels comfortable and safe (for example...vivid marital details are kept private, no one is ever required to share their answer to a question, and if husbands come into the conversation, it must always be in a respectful manner).3) The study teaches clearly what the Bible says is NOT okay sexually.
