This book helped me pass my test! When I first started studying for my test, I bought a video- and lab-based certification training program. As I studied that program, I constantly felt frustrated and confused with their teaching methods and content presentation. After completing the training program, I wondered if I was in over my head and did not feel ready at all to take the Network+ exam so I came on to .com looking for some help. I browsed through a couple of books and decided to get this one based on its compact length, since I didn't want to go through a long study program again after going through a long one that had just left me feeling unprepared and frustrated. As soon as I started reading this book I could tell that my preparation experience was about to take a turn for the better. I read the first chapter and was appreciative of how Mr. Meyers presented his material in simple terms and in a way that allowed me to understand how everything in the world of networking goes together. After reading the second chapter my confidence greatly increased and I decided to sign up for the test 2 weeks from that day. I read the whole book twice in that period and went to my test feeling good about my chances. During the test, I would sometimes refer back to how Mr. Meyers had presented the material and this helped me eliminate some of the wrong answers to the questions because I understood why they were wrong. After I finished, I thought I had done enough to pass, and when I saw my score and did some mental calculation, I was ecstatic to realize that I had answered 95% of the questions correctly. I feel a big part of passing had to do with how this book helped to put it all together for me.
