Helpful and dangerous at the same time. As someone who is going through a time where God is saying "wait" it was nice to hear some good encouragement. But several sections of the book espouse a concerning, in my opinion, misunderstanding of Scripture and God's Sovereignty. In several places the author seems to be suggesting that God makes us wait because He's waiting for us in some way (sin, learning, etc). While that might sound good (and I can even see how it's tempting to say that) if God's waiting on us, that technically means we're the ones making God wait which is a supposition not supported in Scripture. I was glad I read it but would not recommend it to others unless they had significant spiritual discernment to be able to separate the chaff from the wheat, as it were.

Excellent read. Very encouraging. I feel God had me read this book at just the right time. I've been very discouraged lately in my 'waiting' time. I'd started to doubt what I knew to be God's guidance of the past. Thanks so much for this wonderful reminder to wait. This auhthor is definitely on my 'to read , list. I will be reading this to my son tomorow.

I've been going through a hard trial and this book was a major source of comfort to me. Sometimes when hard things happen we're tempted to question God. But this book helped me to understand that He isn't destroying me. He has me in a waiting place as I learn the lessons at had. Please don't take my word for it. Just read this book and it will make a difference in your life.

I love when a book reminds me what God is all about at least for me. I loose track of my life because of the routine that we live on. Even if the book is about one subject just words or sentences remind me that wow what happen to what I believe on. This book remind me that I needed to let God take my live the way he thought he should be instead of me trying to the do the right thing for myself which let me to a lot of mistakes.

The book is very concise and easy to read. We all have something in our lives that this pertains to. I certainly need to be reminded of these things daily. The scriptural references are spot on. Why do any of us ever think we might know better than God? I would recommend this book to everyone!

This book is a blessing to me and I will encourage others to read it. I stumbled upon it in a trial and it has helped me pray and seek God differently. I myself have been my own stumbling block, by not seeing my progress has been hindered by my own disobedience in an area. It is like God is allowing me to learn from my own mistakes, but blessing me in the midst of the wait. Thank you Adam for being the light.

...but Houge's book has helped me to better understand why God allows waiting periods. As a pastor myself I highly recommend this book for any Christian, because all of us go through these periods in our lives.

Excellent! Will recommend to family and friends. Helps your view into your relationship with Christ and yourself, the Trinity's true nature and why you need in your GOD in your life. The best I've read so far.
