It has very accurate information on variations, details and more. Pictures of the story of Matchbox at the beginning are great but pictures of the cars are small and only show one side since they were taken as groups on rows and not individually. No pictures of boxes. The additional information about playsets, packaged toys and more are great. It has a convenient handy format for collectors with checklists, values, dates of issues, etc. Very interesting story told by the author.
This book is my first purchase when I got online in 1999. I am still using this very useful book as a reference for my newly bought Matchboxes. There are also other very valuable books of Mr.Mack but one should have this book if he is into MBoxes. Thanks Mr.Mack.
It is not totally comprehensive. There were Matchbox models I purchased when I was a kid (49 cents-1963-64) that were not included in the book. I didn't need the multiple pictures of the same model, what I really would have wanted to see were single pictures and better descriptions. I went through the book once and will sell it used; I will continue to look for a better and more detailed Matchbox catalog.
