work at a Coin shop and have this book downloaded into my Ipad2. Use the book daily and find it very helpful. There are several U.S. Currency bills missing and an exhaustive amount of Confederate currency isn't there. What is there is very helpful. With a little effort by the author, this could have been a 5 star book. JWH.
** This review only addresses the electronic downloadable version of this book. ** While the hard bound version of this book may be "easy to read" and entirely helpful, as previous readers have expressed, the electronic version downloaded to an iPad or similar device, is not! First of all the text is entirely too small to read without having to make assumptions concerning what it "might" say. Second, the photos of the individual pieces of currency are too small and not sharp enough to make out detail. Only the largest of emblems on each bill's surface can be discerned with any clarity. Third, there is no imbedded mechanism to enlarge the photos or the text/fact tables that accompany each photo....such a major flaw in a book that is supposed to be a collector's guide. I can not use the electronic version with any confidence at all in making investment/collecting decisions or in making positive identifications. I have written the publisher concerning these issues, hoping that some remedy may render future versions legible.
Doesn't cover every category of Bill. Useful but when you are not a true collector there is an overwhelming amount of information.
