If you are a surfer or know someone who is - this book is simply the coolest. The history and photos in the book are tremendous and it really helps to understand where the sport has been and it will help pass the time on those flat days when there is no surf. The photos alone are worth the purchase price, especially if you have ever thought about making your own or are just curious as to how a surfboard works. The oral history and stories combined with the photos are what really make this book on of the best books on surfing I've ever read.I can't recommend this book enough. It really is a must have book for anyone who likes to surf and it's a perfect book to keep on a coffee table and just thumb through over and over again. Buy this book for yourself and give it to someone else as a gift. You'll be glad you did.
I bought this for my husband because I saw it sitting in the cart box but never made it to the check out because my husband just can't buy anything for himself; so I did it for him :) It made a good Christmas gift and he really likes all the info...
Excellent little treasure about surfing history and the boards that followed. Well written, great photographs. Its on my Kindle and its just like having the book in front of me.
