This is a handy little book, but I read the same information online. I was hoping to garner some "inside information" to make me a better bidder. Unfortunately what this book fails to tell you is a lot of these penny auction sites are scams and the distributors of any won "gift cards" arrive with a zero balance. You just get the run around when you try to resolve the gift card dilemma. I was ripped off of $125 in won gift cards, so proceed with caution; however the one website I bid and won actual product, the product arrived new and in working condition.
This is simply the best book on how to make money in Penny Auctions that I've read yet. This Penny Wise book is of great value. Why, had the internet existed then, I could see a bifocaled Ben Franklin, himself, sitting by his pot bellied stove, chuckling with glee as he leafed through its pages.Seriously, this brings it all to you. The book is for the item seeker on how to use penny auctions to advantage, while avoiding the pitfalls. And also for the one who forges ahead right into the business, website, merchandise and all.The book is a road map on how to take action, and a guide with answers to the key questions. Penny Wise is a dynamite user-friendly book. The strategies and tips along with the pros and cons are invaluable. It really opened my eyes to some pitfalls that I never knew existed. It offers great insight into why some strategies might not work-based on strategies that other more aggressive players might be using. It is truly a manual to read and reread.
Being very new to 'penny auctions' and not being overly successful without some help, I found this book to be full of useful information, practical tips and an all around good guide. The book will help bidders be more successful and have fun while saving money along the way. Let the competition begin!
