I bought this book as a seasoned IT Pro wishing to get into E-Discovery World. I've had already and legal background, too. This book mostly covers legal aspects of E-Discovery and less technical. Only one disadvantage: the both versions of this book (paper and eBook) are published in 2010 and never updated after. So, most recent Cases of Law are dated by 2008 and 2009.
I think this is an excellent resource to go alongside and support or become privvy to e-discovery. If you're new to the field, it's a good book to have to use before a workshop, training course, or program.
Very good introduction to eDiscovery. Covers the important points that a beginner, non-legal technology person needs to know about eDiscovery. More information about the eDiscovery software products ( because software is how eDiscovery is done in today's world ) would make it more useful.
Easy to read and understand. Very helpful to anyone working in the document review, large scale litigation or compliance world.
I love the conversational style of the "...for Dummies" books and their consistent format. This book is exactly what I needed: a thorough introduction to the topic. I would definitely recommend it.
