This book is extremely confusing, especially for someone who is new to software architecture. Many times, a term is used very frequently at the beginning of a section and then defined at the very end of the section. There are also many inconsistencies in the diagram notation, and in the structuring of sections. Do NOT use this book as a resource for learning software architecture.
I read this book a little over a year ago. I thought it was very well written and informative. Very useful for software engineers to see the different possibilities of software architecture. Not a hold your hand through concrete examples type book, but a good broad brush overview.
