I’m an avid reader and truly found this to be a great non-fiction book! I’m not really a “computer person” per se, but I always thought it might be cool to know more about hacking just because it sounded interesting. Well I totally lucked out at purchasing this book. The author does a great job of speaking in really clear layman’s terms that even I can understand, and gives great background about some cool hacking jargon that I’ve seen thrown around here and there (such as White Hat and Black Hat) that I never really understood. Also, there are actual, specific steps to achieve specific goals, that are so simple! I’m really excited to know how to run programs from my computer without having to really install them on my memory, for example. Who would have thought that that was even possible? I think this is an outstanding book for anyone who wants to know more about hacking, and maybe even try some out for themselves!
I went through the book 2 times and I am sure that I will go through it again. This book has a lot of good basic information on hacking. I went through some of the examples and was surprised at what I could do. This is a good book for a newbie who wants to learn some initial information. The format of the book flowed well and the information was easy to understand. Great book!
As a newbie to hacking the book is ok, it has some good information, it mixes in tips with meaning behind what a hacker is, like how to do simple tasks for hacking, I would have like to see more in the book however it does give some useful links to places where you can advanced your skills if you want to further you hacking skills.I would say have this as your starter guide and go from there.
Very good book for the beginning hacker or just for anyone who could benefit from the great tweaks provided inside. I had fun with the step by step tricks and wanted to continue dabbling long after reading. It excited my imagination as to what is possible in hacking that I could apply to my business strategy and I plan on using much of what I learned in this book.
The book covers risks of the online world and how to safely protect yourself from being a target. The added pictures were of great use in explaining different concepts within realms of hacking online. I also appreciated the describing the different "ethics" and motivations behind White Hat, Black Hat and Gray Hat Hackers.I found the book to be a lovely read!
I've always been fascinated with this subject of hacking but did not know much about it. This eBook really shows you all the secrets behind it and how it is done, so you can arm yourself with the knowledge to protect you in today's world. Also information on how to become a paid professional hacker employeed by a company was quite an eye opener too.
Hacking explained very well. This book is well written that after reading you will definitely gain knowledge on hacking and will realize that hacking can also be used in a good way. As most of us would perceive that hacking is on the dark side it was explained here that it can use for good causes as well. This book is highly recommended to computer savvy individuals.
Most relate hacking or hacker with somebody who forcefully breaks into a computer system with malicious intentions. This is true to some extent…. However, there is the other side of the story. Knowledge is strength. By learning how to look into security holes and weaknesses in a system, this can reverse the hacking process and increase security to levels a computer programmer could not have imagined possible. This short read provides ethical means of hacking, and the rewards that follow by hacking ethically. Knowledge on how to keep your system protected by outside attacks/un-ethical hackers is what this book is all about. The best way to prevent and stay protected from external hacks is by learning to hack into a system yourself.
