This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to start making music on their iPad or iPhone (although the chapter on MIDI cannot be done on an iPhone, everything else can).If you have a lot of music apps, but mostly play them standalone, this book will also teach you how to use Audioshare and Audiobus, as well as Inter App Audio, the three most important technologies for getting apps to work together. I have not seen a better introduction to multi-app music anywhere.This book is a must-have for beginners, and even experienced musicians are likely to learn something new. Strongly recommended!
I found this instructional book easy to read and understand. While I am not tech savvy, I am hopelessly addicted to my iPhone 6. I bought and read this book, and I was able to successfully publish a little diddy, via Propellerhead...all in one day! It was crazy fun, and well worth the money! Now, I am not quitting my day job, LOL, but this book isn't just for serious musicians...if I can do this and enjoy myself, anyone can using this book!
The second installment in the Apptronica Music App series is aimed more squarely at beginners to iOS music making. At this, it succeeds. A very detailed, step by step walk through of how to create music using your iDevices. Recommended for beginners.
