I bought this book because I will be traveling to Paris this summer and I plan to visit the Champagne wine region. I was hoping for a guide showing maps with wineries, wine tours with prices, ratings, nearby restaurants and tourist attractions.This book has some of this info, but it is buried in lengthy text about the history of some of the wineries. You might discover some useful information, but you will have to write it down and organize it yourself. It will take you hours. I frankly don't care what family owned it, when they sold it or to whom. I want to know how to get there on a map, and what other wineries are close by so I can plan an efficient trip. I want to know the cost, the operating hours, and where to have lunch. I would like to see this info in a well-organized and easy to access fashion. I don't have hours to read about the history of a few families.If you're a wine history buff, however, this is the book for you!
