Instructions are easy to follow and children age 8 and up should have no difficulty making the crafts; younger children may require some assistance with cutting. Plenty of white space on the pages and good use of color will make this appealing book appealing to children.

This is a colorful and fun book that reflects Randel McGee's enthusiastic writing style and creativity. Although the projects and text are very simple, he does a nice job of including some basic background and Chinese cultural information for each project. Book has easy to follow templates and is informative. I used it for a celebration of Chinese New Year with elementary age children. We made lanterns and dragons. They came out well.
