We have Version 3 of the BEx Analyzer at my work, but this book is focused on latest version of BEx (Version 7). I was hoping there would be enough similarities to be a valuable resource, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The first few chapters were relevant and helpful for a novice like me, but once the focus shifted to Query Designer and then more advanced topics it ended up losing its utility for me. Our BEx Analyzer tool is highly customized and users can't create too much more customization on top of it. I needed a book to help me utilize the features of the tool and change the display and query output, but this book focused more on simplistic data/queries and how to build things from scratch.
