I really enjoyed reading "Vintage Christmas Traditions". There is alot of interesting information on the origins of Christmas and different Christmas traditions from around the world. It was neat to look at the vintage Christmas cards, and I look forward to trying some of the recipes shared. This book also includes classic Christmas carols as well as some wonderful poems. I look forward to reading this book with my child at Christmas in the years to come.
I absolutely loved this book - it makes a perfect accompaniment to Christmas festivities. It starts with the origins of Santa Claus then goes on to describe in delightful detail, different Christmas customs around the world. There are Christmas carols and poems, vintage Christmas recipes and some excellent (and sometimes quite bizarre) examples of early Christmas cards. Finally Christmas during two World Wars gives poignant accounts of spirits lightened during war-time. A truly magical book. Highly recommended
