My wife is a fan of paperweights. We came across this book, which is out of print, one day in our local library. My wife was taken with it, and I decided to get it for her as a gift. listed a number of sellers and I wanted a new copy and was willing to pay than the cheapest price, figuring that I would be more likely to get a new book. I selected SELLC as the seller. They stated that the "Mint... Last of our New Publishers Sealed..." The book is in great condition, except that it was clearly not unused - it has an inscription on the title page (not from the author) - so it is clear that someone bought the book, wrote in it and then returned it.The book is a fantastic book with beautiful pictures and lots of good info for collectors. I didn't and wouldn't have returned the book (having discovered all of this after finding the book several months after buying it), but I would like the seller to be completely honest rather than mistating the true condition of the book.
I needed a quick reference for a project and this covered some of the material I was looking for. I'll probably put it away with the rest of my antique reference books. but it was handy for the moment.
This is a great informative book , I learned a lot about the process of making paperweights and what to look for in terms of which ones have the most value. All in all, an outstanding book.
