As an N64 collector and a fan of Screwattack's website, I was quite eager to get this book. Overall, it is decent, and if you have a curiosity about the N64 and its games, there's no reason not to pick it up, I just wish it was more in-depth.The screwattack crew only covers 46 games in this book, which is a little disappointing to me since there were about 300 games released in America for it. Now, if it was only one or two people writing it, I could understand, but there are 9 authors in this book, who cover about 4 or 5 games each. That's it? Despite claiming the N64 to be one of their favorite systems, they only write 1 - 2 page essays about each game, which do contain some funny anecdotes, but they're very short and leave me wanting more. As you can imagine, this book reads incredibly fast. I finished it in about an hour!With 9 people working on one book, they should have covered at least 100 games here. Heck, I could easily write 100 pages on the 40+ games in my collection alone. Like them, I have so many great memories of growing up in the 90's with the N64. It was an amazing system and I could talk for hours about the games on it.Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed reading each entry on some of my favorite games, but the reason I give it 3 stars is because overall I wanted more. More games, more pages, more funny stories, more thoughts and reflections, etc. It just needs more.
It's so much like the YouTube series
This is a great piece of nostalgia. Bring me back to my younger days shooting bad guys & my brother in multiplayer mode. Love it.
