The Complete Book Of Holograms: How They Work And How To Make Them

This clear account of holography and its applications offers the novice a rigorous treatment of holographic theory and science with minimal reliance on mathematical explanation. Written in a lively, stimulating style, it explains the geometric model of holography as well as the more elaborate diffraction model, describes various types of holograms, and gives detailed instructions on how to make your own holograms and where to get the neccessary materials. Also covers current and developing applications of holographic techniques in science, industry, and the arts. Includes excellent illustrations throughout, plus a list of sources for further study.

After taking some classes from Dr. Steve Feller, I got interested in holograms. Dr. Feller does offer a class about Holography, but I could not take it due to class scheduling conflict. That being said after reading the book I was very surprised to see how simple it is to make a rudimentary hologram using standard camera film. At the end of this semester, I am going to try my hand at making one. I would encourage anyone who had an interested in learning how these are made to read this book.

This is one of the best hologram books I've ever had the priviledge of reading. It has everything you'd want to know about holograms and many spectacular visual effects to look at. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys visual mastery.

Good read, covers all the difrent types of holograms in plain English.

wonderful book.
