The cover of this little book caught my eye right away. Very cute, a little teddy bear picnic, and it sets the tone for the delightful little recipes inside, and the affection the author has for tea, teddy bears and spending time with friends.This book not only includes a nice list of tea snacks and treats, some traditional, some unique, but it also is informative. The tips and tricks for brewing tea, along with some great tea information, makes this more than a little collection of recipes; it's actually a great little reference book. I have it on my iPad, and really like the convenience of grabbing fast, easy little recipes like Hibernation Honey Custard, Dream Cookies, and Honeycomb Cheese Cake. And her history of the teddy bear is pretty cool!I'm a fan of Jan McCracken's work anyway (I own many of her books in print), so of course I love this. It's easy to follow, has great recipes, and it's packed with tea inspiration, teddy bear love, and the warmth of the author's love of good food and sharing with good friends. Jan is one of my favorite cookbook authors, and this Teddy Bear Tea e-book is fun to have! I look forward to her entire series. (And I hope she will be putting more of her print cookbooks in Kindle/e-book format soon! Hint-hint :-)
Look at the cover and try to resist! I have been following Jan McCracken and buying her cook books for years. I think I own everyone she has published. Her delightful writing style and tried and true recipes make it easy to recommend.One of my favorites is Jan's shortbread and you will love her "extras" to make entertaining special. I recently attended a tea party with five grandchildren and the little sandwiches were a big hit! Everyone dressed up and it was a opportunity to teach table manners while creating family memories!Once you get one book, you will be hooked!
No Cons. This is an adorable and colorful little book. It brings back memories of all the rhymes I read to my children when they were babies; Now I sing them to my sweet little 7 mo old grandbaby and hold the book for him to see pictures of the Teddy Bears. I live in baby's world for that short time and share all the goodness and sweetness my immagination can embrace.
