Serious bakers, foodies, cookie monsters, and eaters with good "taste." Those are just some of the people who might love this cookie compendium. And boy oh boy, there is a lot to love. First of all, if you missed it, the book has 250 recipes. Secondly, there are still some recipes that surprised me. I didn't think there were many, or even any, of those around. Also, the recipes considered by prolific bakers to be standard or mundane are, many times, improved. A shot of liqueur standing in for an extract that doesn't taste quite right. Using ingredients more authentic to the original recipes. Tossing in a handful of chocolate where you wouldn't expect it. These little things elevate the book up a notch. If it just had photographs. Darn. I really love this book, and I hope you won't think I've steered you wrong. Heck, I'd buy it for the homemade Oreo recipe alone! Be warned though. There aren't any introductory notes for the recipes. And there isn't any instruction either. Don't hate it for that. It represents itself as a book of recipes, and as that, it totally succeeds.
Very nice book,lots of alternatives and so easy to follow ! Really helpful during this Holidays...some home made cookies,a nice wrap and done !! A good present for a friends,neighbors,workmates,relatives or just for enjoy with the family ! Highly recommended.
