Just received the Beckett Non-Sports Almanac....and though I am glad I bought in on (as i saved over $12 from the cover price), it was not what I was expecting.First of all, it is NOT a softcover book...it is more like a glorified magazine, very flimsy with cheap paper. Second, the type is so tiny, so miniscule, I could barely read it...and my eyesight is excellent when reading, and I have never had trouble reading anything printed in my whole life!As far as the content, it is sorely lacking, as far as completeness is concerned. The first set I looked up, Mod Squad Topps, which should be listed under the book's section on Post War Vintage, wasn't there; many of the sets listed have no prices (for example, Frankenstein Valentine Stickers), as a matter of fact there is an ad for Beckett.com that reads "Can't find your cards in this magazine? We've got it online *for as low as $6.75 per month." There is only One Ad for a non sports dealer (that i've never heard of) among only a handful, so those disappointments alone already add up to definitely not worth the cover price for me.The only reason I have not rated the book one star is that there are some positives for consumers looking for what I was not looking for. There is a great modern section for cards printed from 1981 - 2015 that is very complete in its detail. Again there are some sets with no prices, but fewer; and there are lot of prices for signed cards and chase cards. There is a real overabundance of card titles and prices though....does anyone really need to read the titles of each and every card of the whole 198 cards of the 1992 set Barbie and Friends? Every card is listed at $0.20 each Hi price and $0.07 Lo. There are many many many sets listed such as this.
