The overwhelming majority of books and resources devoted to hop production currently available are geared toward the Pacific Northwest’s large-scale commercial growers, who use synthetic pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and fertilizers and deal with regionally specific climate, soils, weeds, and insect populations. Excellent resource. As an amateur homebrewer and hop grower in Upstate NY Washington County, this book is priceless...espcially helpful in combating the army of pests that are attracted to hops vines.
Fantastic book. Very intuitive but not overbearing. I already grow hops but the book has given me a better understanding of certain nuances pertaining to the plant as a whole and not just the growing season.
