I was having difficulty figuring out fusing schedules for my Paragon 16 kiln. I am a novice at glass fusing,just the person this book was written for. The book made all the difference for me and now my plates are beautiful. If you don't have a wire glass saw, no worries. There are clear photos of many different shapes that you can cut out using hand tools. The spiral binding is a plus.
This book was not as basic as I had hoped it would be. I wanted something that assumed no real knowledge of glass fusing. This book had some information, but was mostly made up of projects and plans for fused work. Maybe I should look for "An Idiot's Guide to Fusing".
"Basic Glass Fusing" is a great name for this book - it shows lots of different projects and gives precise details and pictures for each project. As I am new to glass fusing, I learned several helpful fusing tips and techniques from this book, and would recommend it to any beginner.
Really enjoyed this book and have already used several of it's project ideas with a few modifications. The instructions are clear and the pictures really help you through the stages of the project. The photography in this book is beautiful. This is a must have book for both beginners and more advanced fusers. I'm very pleased to have added this book to my glass working library.
I'm new to glass fusing and I found this book to be very helpful. I now have lots of ideas for future projects. Also, I think this book is easy to understand, which makes for more confidence.

The author is very knowledgeable and provides very clear details and photos for each process. There are a lot of great ideas in this book and if you don't have the imagination to expand from there, shame on you. I now have so many ideas floating about in my head! I think this book has inspired me to become a glass worker.
Even though I had been making stained glass projects for years I am new to fusing. Loved this book. Good list of tools needed and a step by step explanation of how to. I could recommend this book to anyone that wants to get into the fusing hobby.
