I love making stained glass projects and have taken classes to learn how to do this. I thought this book sounded great for making some new projects. Unfortunately it just doesn't work well in Kindle. And I think a beginner would have problems learning from a series of pictures. In the Kindle format the patterns can not be traced or photocopied and we can't print from the Kindle. The pictures can't teach you the proper way to cut glass, how to deal with the splintering and bits of glass that get on everything, and how to fix edges that don't come out straight. There is very little mention of a grinder which I feel is essential for smoothing irregular edges and correcting tiny cutting mistakes.I didn't see any mention of keeping a plastic grid under your work to catch any glass splinters, or mention of having a separate hand broom and dustpan for cleaning the table to keep from getting glass on your clothes and in the soles of your shoes. Was there a warning to never use your hand to try to pick up glass bits? There are lots of pictures showing how to prop up 3 dimensional objects and build frames for different types of containers but very few patterns for colorful pictures like are featured on the cover. If this is your first book about working with stained glass you might want to take a local class to get more "hands on" training to fill in the gaps. If you are an experienced glass worker be warned, the patterns don't start until you get to the 97% point in the book on Kindle. And if you want to trace the patterns get a hard copy of the book, not the e-version.

Great patterns and so many for your money. The book offers lots of helpful hints for making the projects. I have bought several stained glass books but this one has been my best buy yet. This book is good for the beginner or more advanced glass lover.

I just love this book! It has great projects and very good ideas. In first few pages he shows you skills you must know to complete the projects. I wish all books had this. All color pictures and easy directions. It also includes full size patterns.

The instruction in the book is well done. Plenty of photos to assist those who are new to the art of stained glass, as I am. I really like the choices and most of the designs are easy enough for a beginner.

Book is in like new condition (bought used). I have made a few projects from this book and they have been a pleasure to make because the book is so well illustrated.

This book was just the motivation I needed to get out my tools and glass and start a project Started with outdoor yard art (can't help but love author's appreciation of the benefits of instant gratification) and now I am on to a more ambitious project. Photography is excellant and walks the reader through processes nicely. Definite "must have" for my stained glass library.

I've seen it before and borrowed it from the library. It's one of the best books I've come across concerning stained glass ideas, finishing options, and technical information. I decided I must have it for my own referencing. My daughter found it on and I'm very pleased. Thank you

Clear instructions, and patterns. Also has some good basic information on soldering. For beginners and intermediates in stained glass work.
