This Crochet book is different than some of the other crochet books I have. This book gives the pattern, a picture of the pattern, then a diagram of where each stitch goes. In my opinion I would want to wait until I have mastered some of the beginner patters if a beginner. This is an excellent book for the intermediate or advanced crocheter's.
A good one if you enjoy crochet. Great patterns and wonderful unique shapes. Just enough basics at the beginning to get you started, plenty of encouragement to experiment on your own, and instructions on reading written patterns and charts. I think this is a good reference book for any crocheter.
If you are interested in crocheting and want to learn different and creative patterns, then I would recommend this book. This book is also good for beginners as it talks about basic patterns that one needs to learn.I've read only some pages now and I'm loving the work of Cynthia Welsh as she has done a great job in teaching about the crochet chart symbols, how to read the crochet chart, and how to understand graphs for perfect and creative crochet patterns.
The guide in the book with pictures is really helpful. Crochet charts can be intimidating when you first look at them, but with a bit of practice you can master reading charts in no time. In this chapter we’ll learn the basic symbols used for crochet charts, how to read a flat chart and a chart for crocheting in the round. Relax, by the end of the chapter you will have the basics down and be able to read and work crochet.
I am definitely a fan of Cynthia Welsh’s books on crochet. And this one has made me become even more interested in learning more about this craft. I like how this guide is written in a detailed and easy to understand way. And since it’s got clear instructions accompanied with colored images, beginners who are also interested in crochet will find this a good guide to read. I’m totally gonna add this in my kindle library.

This is just one of many books I read from this author and of the similar topics. Cynthia is really great in this area and also she is also good in sharing that talent to her readers. Modern style and color combination is always changing from time to time and happy to read this book, because it shares how to innovate also and make our own modern and appealing style.
