This is a HUGE book with tons of excellent, detailed information about a very complex and powerful tool. The book is well written but the reader should be conversant with photography and computer terms to get the most out of the book's instructions. After checking out numerous other titles that cover the same topic, I can recommend this as among the best.. Anyone new to Photoshop CC (or old hands that need to step up to some the finer points of the application) will find this a useful instruction and reference book as they learn the workings of this software.
I was very excited about this book, it's huge! The only problem is that the pages are black and white and flimsy like newspaper...it's ok but I wish it was in color. Other than the obvious, the book has a lot of coverage in it, I am a beginner in photoshop CC and this is absolutely a great book for anyone. I don't think it skips anything.
If you are looking for a book that has an outline of everything that Photoshop CC has in it, this is your book. The only issue that I had was I wished for a little more explanation on the brushes and pen tool options. That said, I will be using this book as a reference for a long time to come.
I'm brand spanking new to photoshop. I've viewed videos and I got it, by memorizing. I didn't understand why I had to do things in a certain way, I just followed the video. This book is a huge eye opener! It explains it to where I understand why I'm doing it a certain wayThere are practice photos that you can download to practice along. I'm having tons of fun with Adobe Photoshop!! I have sticky tabs all over the book.The practice pictures are b/w while following instructions; however there are pages of the photos in the middle of the book. This is my first week using it and practice makes perfect. I love this book!!!
Great reference book for those beginning to work with Photoshop CC and those already experienced with the solution. The examples are easy to follow and informative and you can jump around to different topics depending on your needs.
I am very happy to have found and purchased this book. I took a chance because of the great reviews it had received. It is well written and wonderfully detailed. Filled with a lot of insightful information, plus some added info I was not expecting. Very happy.
Using it and learning. Great resource for Photoshop CC. Bought it because the Illustrator Bible was so useful for me back in the early 2000s.
