This is an excellent, well-written reference manual aimed at someone learning the Android 5.X and 6.X operating system. It begins with basics and covers most of the software and hardware questions you might have. It is much better than the first edition. I have used email for some 30 years, and the Chrome browser for 8 years. Yet by reading his sections on these subjects I learned a lot. There are hundreds of options in the Android OS, and Guy explains them completely and succinctly. My only criticism is that it's not what I would exactly call a "tips and tricks" book which to me is aimed at experienced users who want to learn undocumented "hacks." Also the coverage of both the 5 (Lollipop) and 6 (Marshmallow) versions is disconcerting. I am using 5.01 so some of the points I must skip over. Also the author uses a Samsung Galaxy phone which has an interface (or skin) different from mine.Sure, all of this stuff you can learn for free on the internet but this book puts it all at your fingertips !Overall I would highly recommend buying this book.

Simple easy to understand. Shows android 5 and 6. Although I wish I would have stayed with 5. It easier to control and add apps to added storage. But the book covers it all and gives warnings for actions you may take. I do not think I'll need another book. It answers all my questions.
