Maestro Curtis and David Gibson have done an outstanding job! This book is a great step-by-step guide on how to produce record. The other books on the market don't go into as much detail and aren't as practical as, The Art of Producing. As an artist, I personally favor the section in the book called, "Composition of the Elements", it opened my mind to utilize everything around me as inspiration to use in the dynamics of my singing, colors in my compositions, and overall creativity when writing music. Love the book. Love. Love. Love.Fellow readers, musicians, artists, music enthusiasts, Enjoy!

This is very detailed and informative for those who are looking for info on producing music. I originally went to the library to read this book and I purchased this online afterwards. Great Book

This book was required for my record production class. While it spent a lot of time on the basics and had some outdated information (as most all books concerning technology do) in it, it was generally helpful and informative in my journey to understanding the roles of a producer.

Love this book. Very helpful and teaches with a visual perspective.
