First I'd like to note that this book is very well written and it does give insightful ideas on blogging. The author deals with subjects such as; writer's block, content generation, and fear of publishing in easy to read advice driven language. I have even noted several of his quotes to add to my motivational notes for my own writing studio. Such as - " All the content you will ever create is a valuable asset." Another power quote I took away is, " The facts become commoditized. Your personal stories can never become commoditized."Now as to why I was very disappointed in this book. I chose to read this title because I was lead to believe that there would be tips to making money while blogging. As I said the start-up and content generation was well covered, but nothing more than a generalized hint or reference to money making was made through-out the book. None of the following questions were addressed.Do you make money by selling and promoting your own products?Do you sell and promote other people's product to generate income?Is selling and promotion the only way to generate income?Do you gain passive income through site clicks?The title was misleading. With the words " How to, and make money doing it" are in the same phrase, I figured there would be more instruction on both components of the title.Well written, but not as informative as it could be.I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.
This book includes an abundance of information that would be very helpful to a person interested in writing blogs to make a profit. The author has revealed many tips and tricks for the beginner, as well as information that could help a veteran blogger. I have used some of the advice to get started with my own blogging experience, while I cannot truthfully say I have started to make money, I have gained more confidence in the possibility of a future claim and since I have only just started out using the helpful tips and tricks contained in this book, I am sure that the suggestions that I have not used yet will be as successful as those I have used thus far. I am thrilled that I have been given a complimentary copy of this book in order to give an honest review.

This book dives into a subject that is very difficult to find people who have achieved success. The author serves as a mentor, in a way, in that he has been through all the trials and tribulations. The author showed me how to get started, what platform to use, and how to establish a target audience. I feel very well equipped to start my own blog after reading this book. If you have any interest in doing the same and getting out of the 9-5 corporate gig, I would highly recommend reading this book.
The intricacy of writing a blog post is made simpler in this book. It contains first hand information about writing blog posts and writing, in general. This book narrates the author's experiences in creating a successful blog site and in writing books. I find a lot of inspirational points from the author and it made me think that this book is written for purposes of instilling the idea of success. Concretely, this is further expounded by citing andexplaining the different strategies and techniques in creating a successful blog site. Indeed, this is a remarkable success story written with a passionate intention of sharing it to the readers.
This book is just what I’m looking for. I’ve been planning to have my own blog and I just don’t know how especially what to write. But the author gave away a lot of tips and strategies perfect for beginners like me and actually I’m applying them to my blog right now. Plus, I like how he encourages the reader to reach his/her goals even if we all know that the journey to that goal will not be easy. If you’re just like me who is just starting out as a blogger, you will surely love this book.
It always seems scary at first when we start something new since we don't know how to go about it. But with a helpful guide such as this, everything will be easier since you will understand how things work. This motivated me and helped me start writing and to know what to write since blogging is a new thing for me. This also made me understand how I can earn and be successful. Recommended!
I admit I'm biased because I know Mike but I'm fortunate enough to have face-to-face access to him. His books are the next best thing. Even though we talk here & there, I still read all of his blog posts & his books.I highly recommend checking out his stuff, it's helped me a lot with my business.
I did not realize the amount of knowledge this book would provide me with. This will cut down the time for anyone starting out.A lot of useful advice and practical tips. I wish I had read this a few years ago before setting up my blog.
