The cake itself is a basic very simple cake to make. It never changes. The topping is what makes the cakes different. The basic recipe plus the additional ingredients you add to it. Most of the recipes are bases on white or chocolate cake mixes but not all. This is a simple cake to make that sounds so delicious. Well written with ingredients you can get anywhere. well worth having. I can see these cakes going to pot lucks, luncheons, church suppers, etc.

I love this cookbook! It takes my favorite cake and gives me delicious variations. The recipes are easy to follow and the ingredients are everyday items. Clickable index that makes it easy to find any recipe in the book. If you love easy gooey cakes, then this is the book for you!

The recipes in this book are quick and simple and most of all delicious. I have made a number of this already and "no one" has complained...most of the time there mouth is too full to even talk. With powder sugar being a main ingredient - the final result is very sweet but very good.

This is the second recipe book that I have gotten with butter cake recipes in it. This one also has some very good recipes in it. I have made two of the recipes so far and was pleased with the outcome on both of them.

All recipes are quick and easy however it can be hard now to find a cake mix that is 18.5 ounces as they now make them smaller. Looking forward to trying more of them but still prefer scratch recipes
