First I really love my Paperwhite!!! I always considered myself a "book" person as I have a houseful and continue to reserve them at my local library. On line information is good However...... I am 73 years old. Enough said. Why can't you send information within the delivery of item. I am getting frustrated with having to go on line everytime I have a question about a feature.I have read other reviews and there are many others who agree with me.Think about it!
You can easily get to the information you need, and it is presented in an uncomplicated way. You could use it as a study manual, or do as I do and just look up things as you need them. The paper white is quite intuitive anyway, so I find that using it as a look up source works for me.
I want a hard copy that I can use while I'm using my new paperwhite reader. As it stands now I must use my iPad at the same time I'm using or trying to use the new paperwhite reader. This procedure is very inconvenient to say the least. Another reason for the rating is the lack of information as to how to use the dictionary feature to find the definition of a word or term while reading on the paperwhite reader.
Yes, reading is easy and I don't need a night light keeping my wife awake at night.... But there is no instruction manual with the unit.Trying to do small tasks such as deleting books that have been read, finding a page number, trying to contact a live person are next to is impossible.Ken Magrini
I found information about my Kindle that will be helpful in using it in the future. I would like a paper edition of much of it, but can't figure out how to print it. My memory is not good and that is why I like a paper copy for reference.
Call me old-school but I would LOVE to have a paper copy of the manual and would certainly be willing to pay for it even though I feel it should be included with the Kindle Paperwhite. I see many reviewers with the same request. Wake up, . Let's listen to your customers. The manual content is excellent but I'd like it at my fingertips. I'd like to make notes on it, etc.
Something describing itself as "complete" and "ultimate" should surely make some attempt to live up to its name. The price, of course, signaled otherwise, and I guess I got what I paid for, but it didn't answer any of my questions, and has made me leery of buying another guide.
