The paperback copy of this book is a good hands-on primer for novices like me and, I suspect, as well as accomplished users of e-readers. The material is very well written and easy to follow. Moreover, it is well laid-out with useful images and easy-to-read text. Just flipping through the book, one can learn of and be pleasantly surprised by the many capabilities of this e-reader. In my opinion, it is a must-have accessory for users of the Voyage.
After I bought my Voyage I added this book to my book collection because no device manual was included with my Voyage. Yes it has a user guide included preinstalled but this includes basic information. I found I wanted more information and Steve's book game me this. It was is easy to understand and gave me all the information I needed. I also have the paper book version which makes it easy to try things on my Voyage with a reference guide at my finger tips. Anyone with a Voyage should own this helpful book.
The manual is helpful, particularly to someone who has never owned a Kindle before.
If you are brand new to the world of eReaders and Kindle technology this book provides you with everything you need to get started including detailed diagrams of where you would find the on/off buttons to actual screenshots of the device in action like how to set the font size, style and even the margin widths. Once, you have your device set up the way you want it to work and look, the book then details how to search for ebooks, and add personal documents. What I really liked about the book and the device, is that the Kindle Voyage also has a method - described in the book - on a way to organize your books in your cloud by adding cloud collections. That was a new one for me, and I am going to check it out on my device. Overall, this is a great book for those new to eReader and Kindle technology. Finally, as with all of Weber's books it is well-written, easy to follow and impeccably edited.
It is excellent. So far it has answered all my questions. I am very pleased.
