This is a very informative manual that covers all of the basics of using the kindle paperwhite. It clearly lays out how to use each aspect of the kindle paperwhite in a way that is easy to follow, even if you are completely technologically illiterate. Simply put, this is the user manual that should have been included with paperwhite. And, for only $0.99 the guide is a steal. Anyone who has just purchased a new paperwhite and wants to get the most out of it should definitely check out this guide.
This is the guide that is really good to get if you just got a Kindle Paperwhite, but you are not really sure who to set it up or use all of the features on it. This guide takes you through everything from the most basic of stuff to the more advanced sort of stuff. Even if you know nothing about the technology, you will not have any trouble at all following all of the directions in this book. A very detailed and efficient guide, overall.
It was informative, but what I really wanted to know are things like. After finishing a book how do I store it. Does the Kindle keep records of books I bought. How do I go back to a page. There's so many questions that I have. I'm hoping you can guide me to something that will help me use the Kindle. It's frustrating when you need to know something,and you can't get answers. I don't want to keep calling with questions.
If you want a how-to book, save your money. This is just a generalized broad overview. If you're thinking about whether you want to get the paperwhite kindle, you might find it useful in deciding. But otherwise, skip it. I was hoping to get an instruction book on using my current kindle, but now I'll just have to download the instructions from rather than having a book handy for that purpose.
The Paperwhite User Guide does not address the basics that one needs to navigate the Paperwhite. I read it from cover to cover and still know no more about navigating this Kindle than before I got it. Total waste of money.

The Kindle Paperwhite Manual is good, but it is not detailed enough. It should provide more information on navigation, and it should also provide some tips on how to use the touchscreen. It needs to explain how functions in the original Kindle are performed with the Kindle Paperwhite, and summarize those functions that are no longer available. There are many frustrations with the Paperwhite touchscreen that need further explanation like accessing the dictionary by highlighting a word. If you don't allow enough time, it goes to the previous page. Also, it you highlight a word to access the dictionary at the top of the page it brings up the master menu.In general, the manual is adequate, but it needs more tips and suggestions on how to perform specific functions and how to minimize those functions which overlap on the touchscreen.
I am a very senior citizen, I try to keep up with all things electronic. I have a new computer and an I phone. I text, take and send pictures, etc. When I got my Kindle Paperwhite I was lost. My son gave me a quick lesson. It was no enough. I put it aside and went back to my original Kindle.The Manual is great and I am working to become proficient with the Paperwhite. It should be soon.
