This isn't a full USER GUIDE, but it is a really good 'get started' guide, and it or something like it should have come with the Nook HD+ I got for Christmas. A very helpful neighbor and this book, and the fact the giver hadn't bought the thing at Barnes & Nobel, is why I just didn't take it back when I could. Now I'm happy I didn't; I've converted to Android and Google Play and I have a fine tablet at a very competitive, in fact extra low, price.I highly recommend this book - every new user should have one to help them get a good start with the Nook HD and HD+.
This book is certainly worth the price. I was very intimidated around how to work with the NOOK. I loved the features it offered, but was uncomfortible about navigatring thru all the icons and screens. This is a great place to start. It offers simple directions and they are given with a good sense of humor. I gave it four stars because I wish it had had more information. The writting style was easy to understand and fun!
Since this wasn't written by Barnes and Noble the author gives tips on what to buy and what NOT to buy in regard to screen savers and covers for example. That alone was worth the price of the book. I'm not very tech savvy and like more than one way to look at things. After reading the instruction manual on the Nook I thought that I had possibly wasted my money but I'm happy to say it was a very good purchase!
Although this book is short and sweet it provides good information especially for those of us who are "tech deficient."Definitely would recommend for a new owner of a NOOK HD or HD+.
Since I rate 2 steps above dummy and 1 higher than an idiot this is written for the person that thinks a nook was the best choice and found out that all the gobbly gook and screwy redefining of the English language a bit confusing. It 'sUseful and in my book bag mainly for others that ask, Hey how did you do that? I hand them the book if they still can't do it it's their problem.
It has helped my mom learn to use her nook and was at a good price. She likes it alot
This little guide provides very little more information than the pocket guide it came with, nothing in it that is not already in the nook app that came with it. Save your money.
This did not go far enough in depth to satisfy my needs. It was helpful in the basic operation of the Nook but did not show how to build shelves, collect files, etc..
