An excellent guide; over the years I've managed to nearly completely fill the blank "tasting notes" pages at the back of the book. In desperate need of an update, however (the book only covers porto through the 1985 vintage).
After looking high and low for a good compendium on vintage port, I found this volume. It has a decent balance of history, development, and current information on this type of wine. Worth the time if you are serious about vintage port. Ii think you'll put it down with a decent understanding of port and a thirst to try a few varieties.
