I found a whole list of things that the kindle could do but very few actual instructions on how to accomplish these tasks. Some statements for some reason didn't work the first time I tried them,although later they did, I list those as operator error. All in all, the Guide was little more than the instruction manual that came with the unit. It did point the way to other places to search for some really good help.
This book is not great, sure it might have info about the Kindle touch, but for most of the stuff like free games are for older kindles. The best part was when it explained why you shouldn't use a blow dryer if your kindle is wet. I would have to say that this book is a waste of money.
My Kindle was a gift. I wasn't sure I'd like it because I love 'holding a book' in my hands. However, after reading my first book on my Kindle I was hooked.
Honestly, I have not read this, but suspect it would annoy the heck out of me.If the author screws up like that in the title, how good can the book be?
I purchased the book for my wife for Christmas. It came with no instructions and she does not use a computer that much but is learning. I would like in a week or two let you start sending her info about books and other things she may be interested in. Her name in Mary --- email address Gabbymgk@aol.com. She reads a lot but is a little intemidated by not knowing how the book works. I can show her but she is one who has read and make it work for herself. She does love the book and has alread read several.
