Too complicated for a non techy adult, let alone a 4 yr old who is used to an Ipad. The case is very sturdy and protects well. It really needs to come with a "PAPER' manual. Consequently it just sits around and my GD uses my Ipad.
Very easy to follow instructions for how to get the most out of the fire HD. Answered some nagging technician methods for loading 3rd party apps and how to manage any limitations as a result of the 8mg memory capacity.Not overly detailed or confusing. Just right for someone new to the KIDS edition.
If this is your first kindle and your children are not toddlers, this will be a good choice. I have purchased 4 kindle at various times and bought the kid's kindle for a 3-year old of a friend, so I have family profile issues and trouble finding games, etc. that aren't too advanced for her.
Lost info between two households & this was a huge help for a challenged Grandma when other household was not of help!
We bought this for our 3 year granddaughter and its to hard for her and we haven't had much luck getting it to work. I put some games on my tablet and she plays with that.
