If you have a large collection, and I do, these annuals are an excellent reference. Beckett's magazines have become less and less of a source that I can use as I have a lot of off brands and deceased brands of cards that are no longer listed. Since I stopped buying newer cards a few years back, the magazine is practically useless to me. If there were a decent alternative source, I would use it, but there is not.The pages are newsprint, so highlighting bleeds through and notes should be in ballpoint. The pages also tear easily, so you have to be very gentle with them. The binding remains good and I have 25 year old Beckett price guides that remain crisp with no page separation at all. They will last if you treat them well. Do not let children near them. The books continue to be my primary tool, although I only get them every 4 - 5 years as prices generally don't change very quickly. They help me track values on the Hall of Fame members in my collection. I wonder how long before Beckett starts to cheapen this reference down.
1st time in about 10 years I've purchased the Football Card Guide. It's still enjoyable to review even if the pricing listed is depressing. Oh well, I think we all knew the rah-rah times were over. Plus, I couldn't resist with Peyton on the cover.
Literally a worthless periodical. What do the 2 columns of pricing mean? What condition do they correlate to? With clueless non-existent customer service don't expect to find out.YOU BURNED ME ONCE BECKETT, NEVER AGAIN!
I needed a comprehensive price guide for my football cards and this is the perfect reference. I have regional cards as well as Topps going back to the 50's. Thsi price guide has it all.
been a collector for many years.Although getting older I spend less time in the hobby.Beckett is the Cadillac of card collecting.Beckett is the best as far as Im concerned. Darryl Athons
