In my own quest to "get free" and "stay free".... I have been through prayer counseling,deliverance ministry and have read many many books on the subject of spiritual warfare. I did not think there could be another book that could possibly add to what has already been written and taught on the subject but I was wrong. I would recommend this book be read and discussed first over any other book on the subject. This book is a practical guide to understanding who WE are in Christ and the spiritual warfare that surrounds us. Through his own life testimony and transparency Kris opens a window into his past "hell" so that others can learn and be empowered to walk in freedom. The explanations and applications of scripture are full of wisdom and are life changing. Many people will be set free and stay free if they grasp the teachings on their identity in Christ and understand the schemes of the enemy. Awesome Book!! I am re-reading and taking notes...
In reviewing Spirit Wars...Allow me to say this before I get to the review: It seems some people feel that after Christ went back to heaven that demonic powers went on vacation or something. Some just think they don't exist; period. However; nothing could be further from the truth. A little opening of the spiritual eyes reveals Satan's forces are fully at work and working all the more harder since his time is short. Ignoring these facts doesn't make them go away.If you're a Christian; you need to read this book because you need to know how the enemy works and you need to know who you are in Christ. If you're not a Christian and there are things going on in your life you can't explain; you should read this book.While Spirit Wars is something you want to read quickly; I took 3 weeks to read it because I read each chapter with a pen in my hand; then go over it again in different color high-lighters and then I review that. Kris Vallotton's book Spirit Wars is an excellent book. 12 chapters / 203 pages in all; each with a different dimension of the subject. I liked the way he shared examples from his personal experiences even when they were not always favorable to himself and what he learned through them. There was a sort of vulnerable-ness and transparency there that was refreshing.Sometimes; in people's lives; truth is like quilt squares; not yet sewn together. Spirit Wars sews the pieces together in a clear and understandable way.I think when people read reviews they try to assess who is writing them. ( Where they are. Who they are. Are they credible? etc. ) I have been a Christian for 30 years and have read the Bible from cover to cover many times and read thousands of pages of theology and devotional material. I have certainly read about spiritual warfare and experience it. I rarely write reviews; but I wanted to write and recommend this book as a source of help to you. Check it out.
Just finished this book! Couldn't put it down. Kris Vallotton's best book so far! Through his experience, you can feel his passion for this subject flying off the pages! This book changed my outlook and my ways of engaging in spiritual warfare. An absolute must read for every believer!!!
This is the best book I have read on the subject of spiritual warfare. I read it in two days, and immediately began the book again! It is excellent. I highly recommend this book!
Reading this book was like reading right out of the playbook of the enemy. What I loved so much about this book was the reassurance that the enemy doesn't mess with us unless we come into agreement with him. I love how Kris used Bible stories i've come across many times to illustrate points causing me to want to visit those stories again. I really want to see my loved ones set free and I feel equipped after reading this.
I have been fighting with anxiety and panic attacks for a few years , but due to a recent situation in my life the anxiety attacks were getting worst to a point that I was not able to concentrate at any time of the day ,sleep, I was getting headaches and having a hard time breathing.I was reading a few books about deliverance and spiritual warfare and I was getting good info but when I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. I was recognizing all of the symptoms and situations and It was exactly what I was going through. I finished the book in one day and for the first time I feel that I have control, authority and victory over these attacks from the enemy. Thank you Kris for this book, your honesty and testimony :-)
Kris Vallotton takes on the subject of "spiritual warfare" and has written a powerful book out of having lived in this arena more then most could even imagine. His personal testimonies of having fought hellacious battles and found supernatural victory should be an inspiration to many who feel this war can't be won. He takes you through the Kingdom's perspective of how to do warfare with the enemy and come out the victor! I was exhorted, encouraged and equipped to keep fighting the good fight. Thanks for offering a very practical, heartfelt book that leads you to the Truth that sets you free.
Awesome awesome book!!! Kris is the real deal....his geniune heart comes out in this book as he gives a real approach to the spirit world and how to position yourself in it. Pages upon pages of firsthand knowlege....this book is priceless!
