My brother and I recently started playing minecraft. We decided to download this book so that we can understand how the game works, so we can fully enjoy it. This book is really user friendly, as it provides step by step instructions to downloading the game and detailed information on getting the best out of the game, by exposing the reader to the different aspects of the game, such as the environment/biomes, how to choose a house and types of houses. I love the chapter on combat, as it helps me to kill anything that crosses my path. The book also gives secret weapons that the player can use in playing the game. Thanks to this book I’m totally enjoying minecraft. Great guide for a great game.
If you're a minecrafter lover, you'll enjoy this book. Although it may not provide the most value to advanced players, there is definitely something to learn for everyone. The book covers how to build things, basics for novices, what biomes are, how to deal with mobs, and many other tricks and tips. Its great how it even includes how to create an account and the game controls. It's got nice crispy pictures too, a massive bonus compared to other minecraft eBooks on the market.
After hearing so much about Minecraft I was curious. To be honest normally I am an absolute graphic freak. Games like Crysis 1-3 or The Witcher or Ryse are what I normally play. But after years of ignoring minecraft for the obvious lack of graphical awesomeness I was curious. What can I say - I love it. This Guide is really helpful, especially for beginners at Minecraft like me. You learn how to start and you get basic knowledge to not run into all the aggressive mobs within the game. I am sure, playing for a longer time will give me the opportunity to use a lot of the advanced tips in this guide as well. Thanks - highly recommend this one!
Very basic. If you have played minecraft for any length of time (like more than 30 mins) you probably know almost everything this book is going to tell you. Most of the pages only use half the page so you are not getting a lot of information.Rather than Ultimate Handbook it should be called "Minecraft for the Complete Beginner".Find one of the decent minecraft books instead of this one. Waste of money.
Great book. It is just what i was looking for. My nephew always asks me to play minecraft with him but I had no clue of what this game was. This book informed me very well of many things. I now understand the game much better. Last time I played with him, I told him we should go to the ether, and he was shocked that I knew about it.
This is a very poor title for children. I was very disappointedThe few images offered are all black and white. What info is containedyou pretty much learn just by playing the game. Look further if you still need help.
In the Christmas rush, I ordered this along with the official Mojang books. While they're all fantastic, full of full color pictures and lots of detail, this is essentially screen captures of the Minecraft Wiki pages. The majority of the pages are half blank since there are scant details. There are multiple ads for other "Kwick Reeds" books though. Stay away. You will learn more from the in-game tutorial than this book would ever be able to teach you.This would have been useless to my son so I returned it.
I just got Minecraft, and being a beginner I wanted to get some sort of guide. This book sounded like it would fit my needs. I'm grateful that I'm being taken through all the basics in this book, explaining different game modes, biomes (the environments), mobs etc. An essential book for any Minecraft beginner.
